Union Road Improvement Project

Project Description:  

The Town of Farragut is improving Union Road from South Hobbs Road to Everett Road, as well as South Hobbs Road from US-11/70 (Kingston Pike) to Union Road.  The improvements will include a completely new and wider two-lane curbed section, with a walking trail and sidewalk. The project also requires replacing the bridge over Little Turkey Creek.

Status as of 6/1/2017:   

Land surveying crews will begin gathering data within the project area starting mid-April to obtain information for designing the new roadway and will continue for three to six months.  This will involve ground surveys, which will investigate property lines, underground utilities, detailed stream information, environmental surveys, and more.  

Crews will also be performing geotechnical subsurface investigation (drilling) along the roadway beginning on 6/13 until 6/15.
