  1. Postponed - "Farragut at Forty: Celebrating 40 Years of History" Exhibit

    A new Farragut Museum exhibit will open to the public on Thursday, April 2. “Farragut at Forty: Celebrating 40 Years of History” will include photos, newspaper articles and artifacts that tell the story of the Town through the years. The Farragut Museum, located at Farragut Town Hall, is open 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is always free. Keith McDaniel, who produced the video “A History of Concord and Farragut” in 2018, has been commissioned by the Town of Farragut to create a new video chronicling the founding of the Town. The video will be available for purchase at the museum when the new exhibit opens. The video will premiere during a special invitation-only event that includes a sneak peek at the new exhibit on Wednesday, April 1. Want to be invited?   2. Total Fitness Classes

    Join Rachel Piotrowski, certified group exercise instructor and personal trainer, for a total body fitness class! This class is tailored to individuals of all fitness levels and focuses on functional exercises to improve overall strength and balance. A variety of body weight and hand weight exercises will be utilized to build upper and lower body strength, improve balance and strengthen the core. Low impact aerobic conditioning and stretching are also incorporated. Please bring hand weights or other weighted objects for your workout. If you do not have any, just bring yourself! Don't forget your water and mat. Drinking fountains in the community center are currently closed.

Children will learn basic yoga poses, breathwork, and stress-management techniques in a kid-friendly style. Yoga will be taught through play and imagery with song, games, and imaginative lessons. A parent or supervising adult must stay in the designated room with the child, but will be given the option to participate or simply observe. Bring a mat for each participant, and plenty of smiles and silliness! Please register all participants of this class individually. This session will provide a fascinating look at the growing problem of health care fraud, and how the schemes are detected and investigated. Specialty areas will also be highlighted—including criminal enterprises, medical identity theft, and patient harm. Information will be provided regarding ways that individuals can prevent, detect, and report health care fraud.

Any Tennessee resident born after Jan. 1, 1989, must show the TWRA-issued wallet Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety exam. No other certificate will be accepted as meeting the requirements of the law. Please bring Type 600 boating safety exam permit, awriting utensil, and something to write on to class. The permit is available from any business (license agent) that sells hunting and fishing licenses (Walmart, sporting goods stores, bait stores, marinas, etc.).
